Hoodlums burn ADC Secretariat in Ekiti

Hoodlums have reportedly set ablaze the secretariat of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Ekiti State ahead of the inauguration of the party’s State Executive Council.

The incident affected several properties including a 1000-capacity canopy with chairs, another 150 capacity canopy and parts of the building.

Members of the party condemned the action as they called on security agencies to fish out those responsible for the act.

The party loyalists are currently gathering at Basiri Road in Ado Ekiti, where the secretariat is located, and waiting for their national officers, who are expected to inaugurate the new executive members in the state.

Some ADC members cautioned political thugs to shun acts that may create tension in the polity in Ekiti, wondering why such could happen even when campaigns had not started.
