I Do Not Repeat Clothes Because I Am A Public Figure — Nigerian Singer, Bella Shmurda Says (Video)
Singer Bella Shmurda has justified his high performance fees, revealing that he invested $100,000 in producers, songwriters, and engineers for his upcoming album Sanity, set to be released on October 3, 2025.
In an interview on Naija FM Lagos, he spoke about the financial demands of maintaining a public image, including not repeating outfits, and criticised the high cost of promotion in the music industry, citing radio airplay fees he claimed can exceed N100 million.
“I do not repeat clothes because I am a public figure. I spent 100,000 dollars to pay producers, songwriters and engineers that worked on my album. That is why we charge a lot for shows,” Bella said during the podcast.
His remarks have triggered mixed reactions from fans and promoters. Some praised his business understanding, while others questioned whether the pricing is justified.
