I Don’t Have Time For Nonsense

A Nigerian Catholic priest, Fr. Kelvin Ugwu has tackled a man asking for donation to buy a cow for the burial of a relative. 

 In a post on Facebook, Tuesday October, 7, Fr Ugwu kicked against such move.

He said the person claimed that the cow is a requirement for the burial and the d3ad person won’t rest in peace if he fails to provide one. 

The priest advised the individual to inform his relatives that he can’t afford a “Rest-In-Peace cow.”

“It has been a long time since I looked for anyone’s trouble here. This is because I repented and decided to be peaceful, but someone just provoked that peace. The person is asking for a donation to buy a cow for the burial of his relative. I was like, in this Tinubu regime, people still buy cows for burial? People get mind oh,” he wrote. 

It was his response that triggered this post. He said it is a requirement; otherwise, the d3ad person won’t rest in peace, and the villagers won’t allow him to participate in any village activities.

I don’t have time for nonsense. Blocked! Well, for you all. The price of a good and sizable cow is now between 1.5 million naira and 2 million naira, while the one that resembles a Ram Pro Max is around 900,000 naira.

For those of you who believed that the dead can’t rest in peace until they are buried with cow, I just said let me inform you that the cost of resting in peace has increased too.

Don’t mention! But if you must mention, then mention it to those relatives of yours while they are still alive. Inform them that you won’t be able to afford their Rest-In-Peace cow so that they will start making up their minds and accepting that there won’t be rest for them after they d!e. This will remove the burden from you. It will either make them hustle for their rest in peace cow before they d!e, or they just accept their fate that there won’t be peace for them. Thank you!
