Imo police commissioner receives 182 new constables, tasks them on professionalism

The Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, Aboki Danjuma, has received a total of 182 newly recruited Police Constables officially posted to the Command after successfully completing their basic training.

The Police Commissioner, while addressing the newly posted officers at the Command Headquarters, on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, congratulated them and charged them to be disciplined, professional, and law-abiding in the discharge of their duties.

He noted that their deployment is in line with the IGP’s directive on Community-Oriented Policing, which emphasizes grassroots security and stronger collaboration between the Police and members of the public.

The CP warned against acts of indiscipline and misconduct, urging the new officers to be good ambassadors of the Force and to uphold its core values of integrity, fairness, and service to humanity.

CP Danjuma also used the moment to assure residents that the deployment of the new officers will boost security presence across the state and further strengthen the Command’s partnership with other security agencies in maintaining peace and public safety.
