INEC sets up state collation centre, awaits results from LGAs
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has set up its state collation centre for the Anambra State governorship election.
A visit to the INEC headquarters in Awka showed that the collation centre has been established within the premises of the commission.
An INEC official who spoke on condition of anonymity confirmed that the commission will begin receiving results from local government areas in the state once they are ready.
There are 21 local government areas in Anambra State. Though the state has a good network of roads, some local government areas remain difficult to access, particularly those located in riverine regions.
DAILY POST will commence the announcement of results once they begin to arrive.
