Jonathan congratulates Sambo on turbanning
Former president Goodluck Jonathan has congratulated ex-Vice President Namadi Sambo on his turbanning as the Sardaunan Zazzau.
In a post on his verified X handle on Saturday, Jonathan charged Sambo to use the turbanning and deepen his bond with his people and the entire country.
“I am pleased to have joined my dear brother, Mohammed Namadi Sambo GCON, former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and other well-wishers at his turbanning as the Sardaunan Zazzau by HRH Amb. Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli Emir of Zazzau, at the Emir’s Palace in the historic city of Zaria.
“May this new role further deepen your bond with your people and your steadfast dedication to the peace, progress and development of our country,” Jonathan said.
DAILY POST recalls that Sambo was the Vice-President when Jonathan was the president of Nigeria.
