Kano court remands popular TikToker, Mai Wushirya over video with dwarf woman

A magistrate court sitting in Kano has remanded popular TikToker, Ashiru Idris, better known as Mai Wushirya.

Mai Wushirya was remanded at the correctional centre on Monday for posting alleged “indecent videos” with a dwarf woman.

The presiding judge, Halima Wali, ordered him to be held in custody for two weeks pending further hearing.

DAILY POST recalls that the social media influencer was arrested last week by officials of the Kano State Censorship Board after he was captured in a viral video engaging in what was tagged “immoral and demeaning acts.”

The board explained that the clips violated the state’s laws prohibiting the production and circulation of obscene or sexually suggestive content.

Speaking after the court session, the spokesperson of the censorship board, Abdullahi Sani Sulaiman, said:

“The court has also ordered his partner to appear in court before the hearing continues.”
