Business leaders, investors and experts have shared sentiments on Africa’s readiness to scale digital transformation amidst the continent’s rising population
The stakeholders who gathered at The Texcellence Conference, 2025, a CWG Plc’s annual flagship technology conference, created to foster collaboration, innovation, and strategic dialogue across Africa’s technology ecosystem shared confidence that the continent is primed for a sweeping wave of digital transformation.
In his keynote, Adewale Adeyipo, group CEO, CWG Plc, speaking at Texcellence 4.0 held in Lagos underscored the urgency of Africa’s digital evolution.
“Today, we are positioned to transition from a continent of potential to a global economic powerhouse,” he said. “By 2040, Africa will be home to the world’s largest youth population, with unparalleled capacity and creativity to drive innovation and growth worldwide.”
Since its inception, the event has served as a meeting point for business leaders, innovators, policymakers, and investors to exchange ideas, explore partnerships, and design solutions that advance digital transformation across the continent.
Ayotunde Coker, CEO of Open Access Data Centres, highlighted Africa’s progress in connectivity and infrastructure, noting, “corporates must adopt agile systems to compete in a connected world.”
