Man Allegedly St@bs Friend to D3ath While F!ghting Over Woman in Kwara

A 25-year-old man, Hammed Usman Tunde has d!3d after being st@bbed by his friend, one Gafar.

The sad incident happened during a dispute reportedly over a girlfriend in Kwara State. 

 It was gathered that the incident occurred on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Oja Gboro area of Ilorin when the two friends, said to be close companions, got into an argument while patronizing a Hausa sugarcane seller.

Eyewitnesses say the heated exchange quickly turned violent, leading the 21-year-old suspect Gafar to allegedly st@b Tunde in the chest with a knife.

The victim, a resident of Ile-Soro 2, in Oja Gboro Isale Koko area of Ilorin was rushed to a nearby private hospital but was later referred to the General Hospital, Ilorin, where he was pronounced d3ad upon arrival.

The suspect, identified as a native of Ile Olowo in the same area, reportedly fled the scene immediately after the attack, and his whereabouts, along with that of his family members, remain unknown as at the time of this report .

Speaking to Sobi FM, the deceased’s sister described the incident as heartbreaking, calling on the state government and security agencies to ensure justice is served.

She said her brother was peaceful and never deserved to die in such a cruel manner.

The deceased has however been laid to rest today according to Islamic rites at their family house at Ile-Soro 2 in Oja Gboro, Isale Koko, area Ilorin.
