Many People In Tinubu’s Government Have Forged Documents – PDP
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has alleged that the ruling All Progressives Congress has many appointees with forged academic credentials.
The opposition party called on the federal government to probe these individuals parading forged documents.
The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, made the allegation while addressing newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday.
According to Ologunagba, there are many others with questionable certificates apart from Uche Nnaji, who recently resigned as the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology after the certificate forgery allegation against him went viral.
“Many of them in that government have forged documents.
“We are going to follow that up. It is a high level of impunity, and it’s like telling us, catch us if you can,” he told newsmen.
Recall that Nnaji resigned from President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet on Tuesday after a Premium Times investigation revealed that he did not complete his studies at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), and that both the bachelor’s degree and NYSC certificate he presented to the Presidency, the Senate and security agencies were forged.
Responding to recent rumours that some PDP Governors are set to officially decamp to the APC in the coming days, Ologunagba said many of the defections are not voluntary, but based on harassment, inducement, coercion and intimidation.
He added that several other politicians are returning to the PDP as well.
“A party is not about individuals but all the people. We have more and more diverse people working for the PDP today.
“More and more people are returning to the PDP because it’s getting itself together.
“The defections you see today are instigated by inducement, harassment, coercion, intimidation, and it won’t last,” he said.
