Nigeria Energy 2025 to rally investors, policymakers for power sector reform
Local and international energy stakeholders are set to converge on Lagos for the 12th edition of the Nigeria Energy Exhibition and Conference, taking place from October 28 to 30, 2025, at the Landmark Centre, Lagos.
Organised by Informa Markets, the 2025 edition, themed ‘Powering Nigeria through Investment, Innovation and Partnership’, will bring together energy professionals, policymakers, and innovators to discuss the country’s power challenges and explore investment-driven solutions across the energy value chain.
Speaking at a press conference in Lagos on Tuesday, the organisers said this year’s expanded agenda would focus on unlocking capital, accelerating policy reforms, and deploying technology needed to build a reliable and sustainable power sector.
Exhibition Manager, Energy Portfolio – MEA, Informa Markets, Ade Yesufu, said over 8,500 professionals, including commissioners, developers, regulators, financiers, and technology providers, are expected to participate in three days of high-level summits, technical sessions, and interactive exhibitions.
According to him, Nigeria Energy has evolved into a leading platform for collaboration and deal-making across generation, transmission, distribution, renewables, off-grid systems, and energy efficiency.
With the country still grappling with infrastructure deficits and slow-moving reforms, Yesufu noted that the 2025 edition aims to stimulate actionable conversations on public-private partnerships, regulatory harmonisation, and opportunities in hydrogen, decentralised solar, and grid digitisation.

Yesufu said the conference comes at a critical time for the industry.
“The theme reflects the urgent need to address infrastructure gaps, mobilise investment, and accelerate reforms. Nigeria Energy 2025 will provide a platform where stakeholders can align on policies, forge new partnerships, and showcase innovations that can drive the sector forward,” he said.
This year’s conference will feature industry thought leaders including the Special Adviser to the President on Power Infrastructure, Sadiq Wanka; the Lagos State Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Biodun Ogunleye; the Chief Executive Officer of Azura Power, Edu Okeke; the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the African Energy Council, Dr Chinnan Dikwal; and the CEO of Egbin Power, Mokhtar Bounour.
Alongside the conference, the Nigeria Energy Exhibition will reportedly host over 200 exhibitors across six sectors: energy consumption and management, smart metering and solutions, backup power systems, transmission and distribution, battery and e-mobility, and renewables and clean energy.
According to the organisers, the event remains the go-to platform for meaningful dialogue, partnerships, and investment across West Africa’s power industry.
“Whether you’re a policymaker, developer, investor, or solution provider, this is where West Africa’s power sector connects and evolves,” the statement added.
