Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has sparked fresh debate by claiming that he is the most famous person in the world, even surpassing U.S. President Donald Trump.

In a new teaser released by British broadcaster Piers Morgan, Cristiano Ronaldo stated, “Do a debate, who is more famous, me or Trump? Worldwide, nobody is more famous than me.”

The clip, part of the upcoming second part of Ronaldo’s interview with Morgan, has already gone viral, drawing reactions from fans across the globe.

Ronaldo, who currently plays for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, also spoke about his desire to lead Portugal to World Cup glory, insisting such a feat would “shock the world.”

“How many World Cups did Argentina win before [Lionel] Messi? They’re used to winning. If Portugal wins, which is possible, it will shock the world,”
he said.

The 40-year-old five-time Ballon d’Or winner remains one of football’s biggest names and continues to dominate headlines both on and off the pitch. He recently extended his contract with Al-Nassr until 2027, keeping alive hopes of featuring in the next World Cup while chasing down his dream of 1,000 career goals.

As his playing career winds down, attention has shifted to what Ronaldo might do next. Former Manchester United striker Teddy Sheringham believes management is unlikely, suggesting the Portuguese forward may follow David Beckham’s route into football ownership.

“I can’t see Cristiano Ronaldo going into management after he retires. He’s far more likely to own a club rather than manage one, like what David Beckham has done at Inter Miami,”
Sheringham told Oddspedia.

“There are bigger and better things than being a manager for Ronaldo. He’s someone who wants to take on the world, and ownership gives him full control.”
