NPFL: Clinton returns to boost Bayelsa United for Kun Khalifat clash

Flying Eagles goalkeeper, Clinton Andy has rejoined Bayelsa United ahead of the team’s Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday nine encounter against Kun Khalifat FC.

Andy was part of the Flying Eagles that was eliminated in the Round of 16 at the 2025 FIFA World Cup in Chile.

The 18-year-old joined his teammates in training on Saturday in preparation for Sunday’s match

“Welcome Back Clinton Goalie, Good to have you back,” Bayelsa United reacted following Andy’s return.

Andy made three appearances for Bayelsa United before his international call-up.

The team will face Kun Khalifat FC at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa on Sunday.

Bayelsa United are looking to secure a vital win against the visitors, and Andy’s return is expected to boost the team’s chances.
