NPFL: Mangut relieved after Nasarawa United win over Remo Stars
Nasarawa United technical adviser, Mbwas Mangut, has described his side’s victory over Remo Stars as a huge relief.
The Solid Miners returned to winning ways with a 2-1 triumph over defending champions Remo Stars at the Lafia City Stadium on Thursday.
Micheal Ibeh opened the scoring for the visitors before goals from John Joshua and Jofrank Istifanus secured maximum points for Nasarawa United.
Mangut expressed confidence that his team would build on the performance in their next fixture against Kwara United.
“It’s been a very difficult period for us, especially over the last three weeks, but we are glad to return to winning ways again,” Mangut said in a chat with the club’s media.
“We lost two straight matches on the road, which was difficult to swallow. We believe that we will improve more in our next game against Kwara United this weekend, even though we know that the league is getting tougher.”
