NPFL: We’re ready for top-flight challenge – Kun Khalifat

Kun Khalifat FC have reiterated their determination to retain their Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL status at the end of the 2025–26 season.

The Owerri-based club secured a historic victory against nine-time NPFL champions Enyimba last week.

However, Kun Khalifat stated that the team would not be carried away by the result of that encounter.

“We are not feeling comfortable anytime soon!
We are not thinking we have arrived. It’s not yet UHURU,” the Owerri club wrote on X.

“We pray to finish the season the same way we planned by approaching every game like finals.

“We are still in line with the promise we made to IMOLITES and our dear FANS. We will fight till the end of NPFL2026.”

Kun Khalifat have collected eight points from eight matches so far this season.

They will face Bayelsa United in a matchday nine fixture at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa on Sunday.
