‘Painful, unfortunate’ – Senator Osita Ngwu condoles Abba Moro over sons’ death
The Senate Minority Whip, Senator Osita Ngwu, has conveyed his heartfelt condolences following the tragic loss suffered by the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro, who recently lost both his son and grandson.
Senator Moro, representing the Benue South Senatorial District, is mourning the deaths of his son, Victor Moro, and his grandson, who both passed away within just 24 hours of each other – a devastating event that has left his family and colleagues in deep grief.
In a condolence statement released on Tuesday, Senator Ngwu said he received the heartbreaking news with “profound shock and sadness,” calling the incident both painful and deeply unfortunate.
He prayed for divine strength and consolation for Senator Moro and his family during this trying period, asking God to “grant the departed eternal rest and give the bereaved family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
Daily Post reports that Victor Moro had recently completed his academic programme in Turkey and had returned to Nigeria to begin his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
Tragically, his life was cut short in a car accident along the Mararaba road in Nasarawa State, just a day after attending the burial of his nephew.
Reports indicate that the younger Moro was travelling from his family residence to handle personal matters when the unfortunate incident occurred.
