Pastor Adeboye to lead special prayer for singles

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has announced a special prayer session dedicated to singles, mature singles, waiting mothers, and their families.

This was announced in Lagos by Pastor Oladele Balogun, the Special Assistant to the General Overseer on Administration.

A short video announcement was also accompanied by publicity on the Church’s headquarters’ YouTube page.

The prayer program, which marks the church’s thanksgiving, is tagged ‘From Waiting to Winning’.

The event is scheduled to take place during the RCCG November Thanksgiving Service on Sunday at 8:00 a.m., at the church’s national headquarters, The Throne of Grace, Ebute-Metta, Lagos State.

According to Mr Balogun, the session is divinely inspired and seeks to support individuals who believe in God for marital settlement and the fruit of the womb.

In the statement, Mr Balogun explained that the idea was born out of the growing demographic of unmarried adults and families seeking divine intervention in their marital and family lives.

“Recent population data show that singles, including mature singles, make up more than 40 per cent of Nigeria’s adult population,” He said.

“This reflects a vibrant but growing segment seeking marital settlement.”

Special prayer

He added that the special prayer would also focus on “waiting and expectant mothers” across the world, many of whom continue to believe in God for the fruit of the womb.

“Waiting and expectant mothers, numbering in the millions globally, include families believing God for the fruit of the womb, a deeply spiritual and emotional journey for many,” he said.

The cleric noted that with RCCG’s presence in more than 190 countries, the prayer would reach participants worldwide through live streaming and other digital platforms.

“Across the world, these groups form a significant part of the church’s fellowship community, united by faith, hope, and prayer,” he added. The statement also invited members and the public to participate in the session either in person or virtually.

“Participants across the globe are warmly invited to join this life-transforming encounter with God,” Pastor Balogun said.

“Those within proximity to Lagos are encouraged to attend in person,” he added.
