Police arrest two over alleged killing of herder in Kogi community
Two men have been arrested in connection with the killing of a 25-year-old Fulani herder, Sule Muhammadu, in the Aku area of Kogi State.
According to Zagazola Makama, the incident occurred on October 19, 2025, when Muhammadu went to graze his cattle in a nearby bush. His body was later found along old road leading to Aku village, bearing a gunshot wound to the chest.
Sources said an empty cartridge was recovered at the scene, and photographs were taken before the corpse was released to his family for burial in accordance with Islamic rites.
The suspects, identified as Momoh Jimoh Abdul Malik and Dada Adeika, both residents of Aku community, have been taken into police custody for further investigation.
