Police Officer Arrested And Detained For Firing Gunshot At Tyre Of Moving Vehicle

The Delta State Police Command has arrested and detained one of its officers for shooting at the tyre of a moving vehicle near Toscana Hotel along Okpanam Road in Asaba, the state capital.

A video showing the moment a police officer in the command fired a gun shot at the tyre of a moving vehicle went viral on Tuesday, October 22.

It is uncertain why the officer took such a decision.

Reacting to the video via his X handle. the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Bright Edafe, said the officer has been arrested and detained. He described his action as ‘’unprofessional”.
