A tragic accident occurred in Jos, Plateau State, on Wednesday when a moving train crushed a tricycle, killing the rider and one passenger on the spot. The incident happened around the Phototech area of Abattoir Junction in Jos South Local Government Area at about 11 a.m. The train was said to be travelling from Bukuru to Jos city centre when it rammed into the tricycle. Two other passengers sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the hospital for medical attention. Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Jos Railway Station, Adam Abdullahi, blamed the crash on the tricycle rider’s refusal to obey traffic instructions. He said, “What happened was that at the level crossing, our official stopped him but he refused to stop. The train’s speed eventually caught the tricycle, causing the accident.” Abdullahi added that the crossing guard at the scene had signalled the tricyclist to wait, but he allegedly insisted on crossing the tracks despite the oncoming train.

Sweezy, the older brother of actress Regina Daniels has confirmed the arrest of their younger brother, Sammy West.

This followed an update he gave via his Instagram page.

According to Sweezy, Sammy has been moved from Lagos to Abuja today November 5.

Immediately arriving Abuja, he was charged at an undisclosed court.
