Saka confident in Arsenal’s Premier League title push
Bukayo Saka has expressed belief that Arsenal can finally end their two-decade wait for a Premier League title, citing the team’s improved depth and mentality as key factors this season.
The Gunners currently sit four points clear at the top of the table, ahead of Bournemouth, with Manchester City and Liverpool trailing by six and seven points respectively.
Despite finishing second in each of the past three seasons, Saka insists this Arsenal side is built differently.

“This year I feel we’re a very strong group and we’ve got a lot of quality,” Saka told Sky Sports.
“We’ve already suffered a lot of injuries, but the players that have come in have shown that we can all keep the level at the highest. I think that’s where we slipped off in a few seasons, but this season, we’ve got that—and it’s making me really believe we can do it.”
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta spent around £250 million during the summer transfer window to strengthen his squad, with new additions bolstering the team’s balance and competitiveness. The Gunners have now won seven straight matches in all competitions, relying on their defensive solidity and efficiency from set pieces.
Saka, who has been crucial to Arsenal’s title charge, also hopes to make 2026 a historic year by helping England end their long wait for a major international trophy at the FIFA World Cup.
“Of course it’s doable,” Saka said. “You can’t really do anything if you don’t believe in it. I believe it is possible. It won’t be easy, but yeah, it’s possible.”
