TCN restores electricity supply to Kaduna
The Transmission Company of Nigeria has restored bulk electricity supply to the Mando-Kaduna 132-kilovolt transmission line after days of outages in parts of the state, particularly Southern Kaduna.
The spokesperson of TCN, Ndidi Mbah, disclosed this in a statement on Friday.
According to her, the full bulk electricity supply was restored around 5 pm on Thursday after the repair of the collapse of Tower No. 7 in Rigasa Community, Kaduna State.
“The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) wishes to inform the public that power supply has been fully restored through the 132 kV transmission line affected by the recent collapse of Tower No. 7 in Rigasa Community, Kaduna State.
“Full restoration of bulk power transmission was successfully completed yesterday, October 9, 2025, at 5:23 pm, following the repair and reinforcement of the collapsed tower, carried out by TCN’s dedicated engineering and maintenance teams.
“We appreciate the patience and cooperation of electricity customers who were affected by the incident and Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company for their support throughout the outage period,” TCN stated.
Recall that TCN explained that the collapse of its towers in Kaduna State Town Line I and II in the Rigasa community led to outages in parts of the state, particularly Southern Kaduna.
