Transfer: De Boer surprised no English club sign Osimhen

Former Ajax defender Frank de Boer has labelled Galatasaray star, Victor Osimhen a ‘fantastic striker” and was surprised no English club sign the player.

The Eredivisie giants will host Okan Buruk’s side in a UEFA Champions League clash at the Johan Cruijff ArenA on Wednesday.

Osimhen has shone in the competition this season with three goals from two games.

The Nigeria international spent last season on loan with Galatasaray from Napoli.

The 26-year-old, however moved to the RAMS Park on a permanent transfer this summer.

“It’s remarkable that Osimhen is playing in Turkey and that no English club managed to lure him away. You have to respect that choice, he’s a fantastic striker,” De Boer told Ajax official website.
