Two Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists have been k!lled by troops of the Joint Task Force (JTF), North East Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK).
This happened as the troops repelled a Boko Haram/ISWAP attack on their location in Borno State.
The incident occurred at about 12:20 a.m. on Sunday, October 5, 2025 when a large number of terrorists attempted to infiltrate the 3 Battalion (Main) Pump House location.
According to sources, the troops swiftly engaged the attackers with mortar fire, forcing them to flee after suffering casualties.
“Some of the terrorists were neutralised while several others were believed to have escaped with gunshot wounds, as indicated by the large pool and trail of blood observed along their withdrawal route,” the report stated.
An ambush team from the battalion later conducted a limited exploitation of the area and recovered the bodies of two neutralised terrorists.
There were no casualties on the side of the troops.
The general security situation in the area remained calm but unpredictable, while troops’ morale and fighting efficiency were described as satisfactory.
