Tuchel names three England players that can replace Kane as captain against Wales

England manager, Thomas Tuchel, has named the three contenders to captain England against Wales in an international friendly.

Harry Kane has been ruled out of the game with an ankle injury.

He has not been able to train with the rest of the squad ahead of Thursday’s match at Wembley.

Speaking ahead of the match, Tuchel said it would be “too risky” for Kane to feature.

In Kane’s absence, Jordan Henderson, John Stones and Declan Rice are Tuchel’s three options to skipper the team.

“The options for captains will be one of Jordan Henderson, John Stones and Declan Rice,” Tuchel said.

Kane has started and captained the Three Lions in all six of Tuchel’s matches in charge so far.
