Panic gripped Idofin Odo-Ase, a quiet community in Oke Ero Local Government Area of Kwara State, on Thursday after armed terrorists launched a deadly assault, k!lling at least three people and forcing residents to flee for safety.
Some gory videos and photos were obtained by SaharaReporters showing the slain victims, two shot and one other stabbed, during the violent invasion that has again thrown the entire Kwara South axis into panic.
Witnesses told SaharaReporters that the gunmen stormed the community in the evening, shooting sporadically and attacking residents in their homes before escaping into nearby forests.
“They came suddenly, shooting and shouting. We ran into the bush, but three people were k!lled instantly,” a resident said.
“People are leaving the community this morning because we don’t know if they will come back.”
The community source added that no security operatives arrived during or after the assault.
“We didn’t see police or soldiers. The k!llers moved freely,” he said.
“Everyone is scared. Families are packing their belongings and running to nearby towns.”
