What Tinubu Must Do – Dele Momodu
Dele Momodu, a prominent chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has called on President Bola Tinubu to “put on his thinking cap” for the sake of himself, his administration, and Nigerians at large.
Momodu made the call on Friday while speaking on Channels Television’s Morning Brief, in response to the recent threat by US President Donald Trump to intervene in the killings in Nigeria.
According to a report by Daily Post, Trump said he had directed the US Defence Department to prepare for possible military action in Nigeria if the Nigerian government “continues to allow the killing of Christians”.
“The president needs to get people who have the capacity to speak and will be listened to. Not all these political jobbers. The president is very good at politicking. He can make all governors in Nigeria join the All Progressives Congress, APC, but we have passed that stage now.
“Two weeks ago, if anybody told you that President Tinubu would be in this precarious situation, all he would have said is ‘no, it’s not possible.’
“I saw him speaking last night, and I must confess that I felt for him because this is not the best time to be the president of Nigeria. He now has to put on the thinking cap for himself, for his team, and for all of us in Nigeria,” Momodu said.
