Why I’m Against Tinubu’s Policies — Solomon Dalung

Former Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung has opened up on why he’s against President Bola Tinubu’s government.

According to him, the reason is because Tinubu has not done anything tangible for Nigerians despite the removal of fuel subsidy.

Dalung, a chieftain of the opposition African Democratic Congress, ADC, stated this Inside Sources with Laolu Akande a Channels Television programme on Sunday.

The former minister lamented what he described as an emperor-like leadership under Tinubu’s government.

“Tinubu’s government has collected a lot of money from the removal of fuel subsidies but they have nothing to show for it. They have also received a lot of revenues from Value Added Tax, VAT, increase in electricity tariff, increase in data charges and bank charges.

“They have also received a lot of revenues from the floating of the naira. Most of them do not have anything to show.

“A lot of politicians are defecting to the All Progressives Congress, APC, today because of their selfish interest also want to identify with Tinubu’s government. And so the only soft landing for them is to join the band wagon.

“The danger they have not seen is that if this election is organised the way I know that the presidential election will come first, after the presidential election, most of the governors will receive the shock of their lives.

“Nigeria is now nose-diving speedily into the abyss. We are losing almost everything that is part of our civilization. Nigeria is blessed with everything but a highly deficit in leadership,” he lamented.
