2026 Ballon d'Or: Mbappe didn't win trophies, Yamal had poor World Cup – Courtois

Real Madrid goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, has waded into the debate for the 2026 Ballon d'Or.
On Monday, the best player in the world will be crowned at an event in London, UK.
Although Courtois would prefer team mate Kylian Mbappe to win, he admits the Frenchman did not lift any trophies in the year under review.
Courtois also criticised Barcelona's Lamine Yamal for a poor outing at the 2026 World Cup.
“Individually, no player was better than Mbappe this year, but sadly, we didn't win any trophies," Courtois told DAZN.
“Lamine Yamal had a worse World Cup than Mbappé, but he won the title, and won the league."
