2027: Tinubu seeks 2 million votes in Akwa Ibom, says PVCs sword to defeat deceivers

President Bola Tinubu, on Friday charged Nigerians to use their Permanent Voters Cards, PVCs, wisely, stressing that it's their weapon against those deceiving them.
Tinubu likened the PVCs of Nigerians to swords that they should use in defeating tyranny.
Speaking during the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential campaign rally in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, the president asked for two million votes from the state.
He said, "Uyo, two million votes, this is an amazing turnout. We are not like other mushroom parties that don't have the kind of character that we have. Akwa Ibom has decided that they are going to be in good company, you used to be in one party yesterday, people deceiving people; 'papa deceiving pikin'.
"To you the youths, we are a symbol of progressives, development, infrastructure, education, agriculture, commitment and value to answer your question but answer my own question first. You the youths, do you have PVCs? Show me your hand if you have PVCs.
"That is your sword, that is the weapon you need to defeat tyranny, to defeat those deceiving you, to defeat those who didn't appreciate the value of a growing economy and the value of a promising prosperity.
"The weapon you have is the PVC, I don't have to enumerate what I have done for you, I have committed my last years to struggling for democracy, freedom, development and progress.
"You have heard from Oshiomhole, you have a good memory, character and that is all I need, bring out your PVCs, you promised to vote? Have you seen development or not?"
