Patience Ozokwor opens up on earnings from her first Nollywood role

Nollywood veteran, Patience Ozokwor, has opened up on the financial compensation behind her first ever movie role in the Nigerian film industry.

The actress, while speaking during a livestream with content creator, Carter Efe, revealed that she received the sum of ₦2,000, adding that the sum kept increasing as time went by.

Ozokwor disclosed that she once got paid ₦15,000 for a movie role, and felt the need to throw a house party.

‎”I was surprised and when I received 15,000 Naira I said it was time to throw a house party“, she jokingly remarked.

The actress also spoke about the roles she played during the early stage of her career in the Nollywood industry, revealing that taking on the ‘witch’ role allowed her to expose evil, stand against injustice, and speak out against war.

‎”If you are taking part in any of them, you will be careful and know the end thereof because the end justifies the means“, she added.
