Transfer: They did unforgivable things – Scholes names two Man Utd players he'd sell
Manchester United great, Paul Scholes has singled out captain Bruno Fernandes and defender Lisandro Martinez as the two current squad members he would sell.
Scholes believes both players crossed a line with recent remarks about manager, Michael Carrick and the club’s hierarchy.
Martinez had criticised United’s leadership following the club’s Champions League defeat to Atletico Madrid.
Fernandes, meanwhile, questioned Carrick’s tactics after United lost to Como in the Champions League.
Asked on The Good, The Bad & The Football podcast by host, Paddy McGuinness how many members of the current squad he would sell, Scholes said: “For what Bruno Fernandes did last week, I think that was unforgivable. So Bruno’s one.
“And Martinez for what he said as well. It is not his business.”
Fernandes arrived at Old Trafford from Sporting CP in 2020, while Martinez joined from Ajax in 2022.
