Adamawa 2027: APM Guber, Haske picks Safri Glah as running mate
The Allied Peoples Movement, APM, has officially unveiled Safriel Glah as the Deputy Governorship Candidate and running mate to the party’s Adamawa State Governorship candidate, Abdulrahman Haske, for the 2027 governorship election.
The announcement was made at a briefing on Monday in Abuja, where the party formally presented Glah.
The party described the ticket as a formidable partnership built on competence, experience and a shared vision for the progress of Adamawa State.
In a message issued to commemorate the unveiling, Haske described the selection of Glah as a strategic decision informed by competence, integrity, experience and a proven record of service.
According to Haske, the Haske-Glah ticket reflects the leadership balance required to unlock Adamawa’s enormous economic potential, strengthen governance institutions and accelerate inclusive development across the state.
“Today marks an important milestone in our collective vision for a more prosperous and forward-looking Adamawa State. In Engr. Safriel Glah, we have found a partner whose distinguished career embodies excellence, discipline, professionalism and selfless service,” he stated.
Accepting the nomination, Engr. Glah expressed gratitude to the leadership of the party and the people of Adamawa State for the confidence reposed in her.
“I stand before you Today humbled and profoundly grateful as I accept the responsibility of serving as the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement alongside my principal and Governorship Candidate, Hon. Abdulrahman Bashir Haske. I deeply appreciate the confidence placed in me and the privilege to serve.”
Glah further emphasised the need to unlock Adamawa State’s vast but largely untapped socioeconomic potential.
She noted that realising this potential would require collective effort and a shared commitment to development, stressing that meaningful opportunities can only be created when leaders and citizens work together.
“I pledge my loyalty, cooperation and dedication as we undertake this journey together. To the people of Adamawa State, I am ready to listen, ready to work and ready to serve,” Glah said.
Meanwhile, in separate comments following the unveiling, the National Chairman of APM, Yusuf Dantalle and the Adamawa State Chairman of the party, Badejo Bello, described the Haske-Glah ticket as a formidable partnership positioned to provide purposeful and inclusive leadership ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
