Nigerian singer Abiola Ahmed Akinbiyi, popularly known as Bella Shmurda, has confessed to stealing a bicycle during the early stage of his music career.
The artist, while speaking during an interview on Echo Room TV, explained that the incident happened while he was living in Okoko. He noted that he needed the money to pay for a studio session, so he sold the stolen bicycle.
Bella admitted that the memory is a painful one for him, revealing that he made amends by buying a new bicycle for the owner.
“When we lived in Okoko, I once stole a boy’s bicycle and sold it at Alaba for N7,000 to pay for studio sessions,” he revealed.
The artist rise to fame in 2019 after attracting the attention of Olamide. Their collaboration was a success, placing Bella into the spotlight in the Nigerian music scene.
