Nigerian afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has opened up on his family’s ties with billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote.
The artist, while speaking during an interview in Lagos, explained that Dangote had maintained a close relationship with his family for decades and had continued to offer him financial advice from childhood.
Davido added that despite his growth in the music and entertainment industry, Dangote has remained a relevant source of advice for him.
“Aliko Dangote drove my mom home from the hospital when she gave birth to me. Anytime I see him, he still tells me, ‘David, save your money.’ He’s been saying that since I was a baby,” he said.
He also explained that Dangote was a close associate of his father, businessman Adedeji Adeleke, noting that the relationship between the two families has lasted for decades.
