Popular Nigerian skit maker and media personality Broda Shaggi (Samuel Animashaun Perry) has finally opened up about his near-death experience at the Sango-Ota Bridge in Ogun State in March 2026.
The content creator, while speaking in a video shared on his YouTube channel, spoke about the incident, explaining that he heard a loud bang before realising he had been shot.
“All of a sudden, all I heard was a loud bang. Everywhere was silent. But I could still see people moving outside, people talking, but I couldn’t hear what they were saying. It was just total silence in the car,” he recalled.
Broda Shaggi described the thoughts running through his mind as he was being rushed to the hospital. He revealed that he was taken to administered first aid before transferring him to another facility because it lacked the equipment needed to treat him. He said he was admitted to the emergency room at the second hospital.
“I feel very useless. While in the hospital, I could not act, I could not dance, sing or do whatever I loved. I couldn’t imagine myself not being able to drop six skits in a month,” he said, adding that he feared people might forget him.
