EPL: Michael Owen hands Man Utd signing to make after defeat to City
Former Manchester United striker, Michael Owen, has urged his old club to sign one of the best centre-forwards in the world if they want to win the Premier League.
Owen stated this after Man United’s Premier League derby 1-0 defeat to Manchester City at Old Trafford on Sunday.
According to him, Man United’s current centre-forward Benjamin Sesko is ‘not in the top ten in the world’ for his position.
“Surely Manchester United have aspirations of being the best team in the country again and winning the Premier League,” Owen told Metro.
“For them to do that, I would suggest that they need a centre-forward who is one of the best in the world.
“Is Sesko one of the ten best centre-forwards in the world? No, I don’t think he is.”
