Fubara remains silent after APC governorship screening

Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, on Sunday declined to address journalists after appearing before the All Progressives Congress governorship screening committee in Abuja.

Fubara appeared before the committee at the Plateau State Governors’ Lodge as part of the screening process for sitting governors seeking re-election ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He, however, refused to comment on the process, responding briefly, “No comment.”

The APC Governorship Screening Committee was chaired by the party’s National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda.

Fubara’s appearance at the screening comes amid ongoing political developments in Rivers State ahead of the next election cycle.
