Harry Kane extends Bayern Munich contract to 2029

Bayern Munich striker, Harry Kane,  has extended his contract with the German champions until 2029.

The England captain shared this in a press conference in Munich on Thursday, November 5, 2026 saying the decision to stay was an easy one.

Kane sang praises of the club, saying he didn’t have to think much of it. He described Bayern as the best place he can imagine, adding that the decision was taken a long time ago though the contract was only signed on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.

He also revealed that the announcement was delayed because of the World Cup.

Kane further explained that being in a place where he can develop and compete for everything was the most important factor.

He also added that if he did not believe in the team and its ability to win the most important titles, he would have looked for other options.

According to him, he is very happy in Munich, knows where the team is heading, and believes in the project.

Kane reflected on his move from the Premier League, saying a change of scenery has been beneficial mentally. He described Munich as a wonderful place and said his family has settled well, enjoying the forests, mountains and new culture.

On the Champions League, Kane admitted he wants to win at least one title before 2029. He said he would be lying if he said otherwise, adding that the pressure motivates him.

For him, stepping out of his comfort zone was a correct and positive move.
