Houthis strike Saudi’s Aramco again as Yemeni forces hit positions

Yemen’s Houthis have claimed responsibility for Saturday’s barrage of strikes on an Aramco facility in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

The movement used ballistic missiles and drones in the attack in response to “the Saudi aggression” against the capital, Sanaa, and other provinces.

The Houthis, in a statement, said the Saudi-led coalition conducted up to 60 strikes in the past 24 hours, putting the number of strikes in the renewed conflict at 1,410.

The group vowed further “necessary escalatory steps and deterrent measures” against adversaries who keep on targeting the Yemeni resistance.

“We will continue the equation of siege for siege and escalation for escalation until the aggression ceases and the siege on our beloved country is lifted,” they vowed.

Yemen’s internationally recognized military struck Houthi positions across the country, according to the spokesperson, Colonel Majed Abdullah al-Nazili.

Al-Nazili confirmed that the Saturday operation focused on “legitimate vital military targets in Sanaa,” using missiles, drones, and artillery weapons.

The military indicated that government forces killed or wounded 1,540 Houthi rebels over the past day, with most of the casualties in the Taiz province.

The latest offensive halted the advancement of Houthi fighters in the government-held city of Taiz, which has become a center of the renewed fighting.
