NPFL: Ejeh confident Enyimba can halt winless streak against Kano Pillars

Enyimba assistant coach, Okechukwu Ejeh says the People’s Elephant are in Kano with one objective — to secure all three points against Kano Pillars.

The former champions will face Kano Pillars at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday in a Nigeria Premier Football League ,NPFL, Matchday 6 encounter.

The nine-time NPFL champions have endured a difficult start to the campaign, losing all four of their matches so far. 

With one outstanding fixture still to play, Enyimba currently sit at the bottom of the league table.

However, Ejeh insists the team are fully prepared to turn their fortunes around when they take on the Sai Masu Gida.

“We are not here for a tea party; we are here for serious business. We are here to get the three points,” Ejeh told the club’s media.

“We are mentally ready, physically ready and tactically ready for this game. Believe me, we are optimistic that we are not leaving this ancient city empty-handed.”

Despite Enyimba’s disappointing start, Ejeh remains confident that the club can achieve its season objective of securing a place in continental competition.

“Our vision still remains to be on the continent. We are not too worried about our position for now. We will get the continental ticket,” he added.
