NPFL: Nasarawa United set continental target for 2026/27 season

Nasarawa United is determined to secure a continental ticket in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, this season.
The Solid Miners narrowly missed out on a top-three finish last season.
The Lafia-based club finished sixth, four points adrift of third-placed Shooting Stars.
The Mbwas Mangut’s side have recorded three wins, two draws and three losses in eight matches in the current campaign.
Nasarawa United media director, Eche Amos, said the team’s recent displays have proved their determination to turn the table toward their target.
““Things are changing for the better,” Amos was quoted by completesports.
“I wish to let you know that Nasarawa United, out of eight games, we lost all our games away, we drew only one, but at home, we could draw a couple of games, we won some, but it does not mean we cannot win away from home,”
“We have what it takes, even the games we lost away, if we check the statistics, we did better in terms of ball possession, in terms of the charisma, the character, and the characteristics of the team.
“We ensure that we capitalize on our home advantage to win all our home matches and also pick draws where we needed to and we pray to win all our away matches.”
Nasarawa United will do battle with Inter Lagos in their next league fixture in Lagos this weekend.
