Odumeje opens up about his troublesome Onitsha past

Controversial Nigerian cleric Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, popularly known as prophet Odumeje, has opened up on his past, revealing that he was once a paid fighter.

The Anambra-based cleric, while speaking on The Honest Bunch podcast, spoke about his life before becoming a popular preacher. He claimed he was once paid to beat people before turning to preaching.

Odumeje added that the same market where he once engaged in fights later became a place where he began preaching.

“I used to be a dangerous fighter. They used to pay me to beat people. No matter how many they are, I will give them dates for their own beating inside the main market so that people will see me dealing with it,” he said.
