Oyo guber 2027: Alli raises alarm over alleged attack on APC members in Ibadan, fingers APM

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the forthcoming general election in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, has raised the alarm over the alleged attack on two APC members in Ibadan.

Alli alleged that the two APC members were attacked by hoodlums suspected to be members of the Allied Peoples Movement, APM.

He made the allegation in a statement signed by the Director of his campaign organisation, Bisi Oladele, and made available to DAILY POST on Thursday evening.

DAILY POST reports that Alli represents Oyo South Senatorial District in the Senate on the platform of the APC.

According to the statement, the victims, Abiola Abulesowo and Abanise Olanrewaju, were attacked by suspected APM thugs at the Ibadan North Local Government Secretariat on Wednesday.

Alli alleged that APM supporters had been attacking APC members in the state over the past few weeks.

Describing the incident as unfortunate, the APC candidate called on the APM governorship candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, to warn his supporters against further attacks on APC members.

He said the appeal followed the alleged attack on Abulesowo and Olanrewaju at the local government secretariat.
