Police bust suspected factory producing adulterated alcohol, arrest one in Lagos
Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have uncovered and sealed a suspected illegal factory allegedly used to produce and package adulterated alcoholic drinks in the Yafin area of Badagry, Lagos State.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi, said the raid followed credible intelligence provided by members of the public.
According to her, officers recovered adulterated alcoholic drinks, empty bottles, various wine labels and production utensils believed to have been used to produce and package the drinks.
She added that the factory was sealed after the operation, while the suspect was taken into police custody.
“The recovered items have been taken to the station for further investigation,” Adebisi said.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, commended the officers for acting swiftly on the information they received.
He reaffirmed the command’s commitment to intelligence-led operations aimed at tackling criminal activities across the state.
The police also urged residents to continue providing timely and credible information through the command’s emergency lines to support crime-fighting efforts.
