Qing Madi alleges intimidation by her former label

Singer, Chimamanda Chukwuma, popularly known as Qing Madi, has cried out over alleged oppression from her former label.

In a series of posts shared on Instagram, the singer claimed that the label was attempting to silence and oppress her, drawing parallels with the experience of another singer, Cynthia Morgan.

In one of the posts, Qing Madi stated that the management recently lost a legal case against her but had continued to interfere in her career. She wrote, “My ex label, the same people that tried to destroy Cynthia Morgan are trying to do the same to me. It’s painful that I didn’t give up even after suing me for 1 million dollars and losing your case. I don’t come on the internet to complain, nobody knew this one before. All I do is keep pushing my music.”

She further alleged that the label took down one of her songs, KFMD, from the Spotify music streaming platform. “This babe took down kfmd record from Spotify because of how well it was doing,” she added.

The singer also called out the head of the management, Joy Tongo, asking to be left alone. She wrote, “Just because I choose to keep quiet doesn’t mean I care about protecting your image. I just want to do music, that’s all but you want to play dirty. I’m 19 years old, Let me be!!!!!”

Qing Madi maintained that she would not be bullied into silence.

When contacted, her current management, Blunt Management, told our correspondent that they were not accepting interviews at the moment.

Efforts to reach Joy Tongo were unsuccessful as her Instagram page was set to private.
