Serie A: Venezia coach lauds Adams after goal against Napoli
Venezia manager, David Nicola has lavished praise on Akor Adams after the striker inspired the club's victory over Napoli.
Adams scored the winning goal as Venezia recorded a stunning 1-0 victory over Napoli at the Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo on Saturday.
Adams broke the deadlock four minutes after the break, capitalising on an error by Napoli defender, Benoit Badiashile, before firing the ball into the net.
The victory was Venezia's second in the Italian top-flight this season, and Napoli's third of the campaign.
Although Nicola admitted he was not keen on singling out individual players, he highlighted Adams’ commitment, important qualities and potential to develop further.
“I don’t like to talk about individuals. Adams puts his heart and soul into it, he has some very important qualities, he helps the team.
"Akor has incredible room for improvement,” Nicola was quoted by pazzidifanta.
Venezia will travel to Genoa for their next Serie A match on Sunday, 25 October, 2026.
