“Stop using reforms to cover suffering”– Ray Adeka tells Tinubu’s supporters

Entertainment

Nollywood actor, Ray Adeka, has criticized supporters of the present administration Tinubu’s over how they defend the administration when complaints about hardship is the topic of discussion.

In a video shared online, Adeka said whenever the government is criticized for the rising cost of living, its supporters immediately start listing reforms instead of addressing the suffering.

He mentioned three policies that are always used as defense: removal of fuel subsidy, expansion of the tax net, and floating of the naira.

Speaking on fuel subsidy, he pointed out that President Tinubu himself had joined the 2012 protests in Lagos to oppose fuel subsidy removal when it was proposed by former President Goodluck Jonathan.

He also questioned how bringing more Nigerians into the tax bracket is as an achievement, and dismissed the defence of naira floating, sarcastically calling the three policies brilliant moves Nigerians should be grateful for.
