Toke Makinwa criticizes men’s indirect breakup strategies

Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa has spoken up on her experience with marriage, stating that men tend to frustrate their partners into requesting for a divorce.

Toke, who disclosed that she was once married, reflected on the relationship and divorce.

She claimed that rather than openly telling their partners that a relationship is no longer working, some men may become distant or behave differently in ways that make their intentions clear.

“I got married at 30 and divorced at 31. I don’t even think men have the balls to break up with women these days, they just frustrate you till you leave. That’s their new tactics, they will frustrate you till you leave. A man will never sit you down and tell you it’s not working out but everything about him tells you it’s not working out,” she said.
