Troops, NDLEA arrest five suspected drug dealers in Sapele
Five suspected drug dealers have been arrested during a joint operation by troops of the 90 Amphibious Battalion and officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State.
The development was disclosed in a post shared on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama on Sunday.
According to the post, the suspects were arrested during a cordon-and-search operation carried out at about 10:10 pm on September 4 in Ugberukoko Community.
The operation was reportedly launched after security operatives received intelligence about alleged drug-peddling activities in the Sapele area.
“During the raid, five suspects were apprehended, while six bottles containing a substance suspected to be codeine were recovered from them,” Makama wrote.
The post added that the suspects and the recovered exhibits had been handed over to the appropriate authorities for further investigation and necessary action.
